Redondo Beach, CA – A celebration of beauty, culture and unity of diversity” was truly celebrated at the 27th Annual Miss Asia USA and 4th Annual Miss Latina Global pageants held respectively on Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, in Redondo Beach, CA. The back-to-back pageants were presented by Virgelia Productions, Inc.
Reprising his role from last years pageant, Tony Cabrera, returned to co-host the weekend’s pageants. Tony is the morning news anchor for the CBS and FOX affiliates in Santa Barbara. He most recently worked at the ABC station in Los Angeles where he was a correspondent for the nationally syndicated entertainment news show, “On The Red Carpet!” Co-hosting with him on Saturday’s pageant was 2012 Miss Asia USA, Christine Kan, Princeton Graduate, and entrepreneur. Co-hosting on Sunday’s pageant was Ruby Muniz, First runner-up of Miss Latina Global 2014. Tony and both Christine and Ruby did wonderful jobs hosting and kept the evening’s program running without a hitch along with the wonderful crew behind the scenes.
The pageant presented over 40 delegates representing countries from all over the world. Judging the Miss Asia USA pageant were Ryan Doan, Bobbie Chance, Henry Fan, Kimi Verma, Danny Stein, Rodri Rodriguez, Alex Contraviwat, Linda Takashima, Stephen Christopher Liu, and Katarina Van Derham. Miss Latina Global pageant was judged by Dr. Richard Gayer, Eriko Lee Katayama, Jimmy Perez Johnson, Olga Loera, and Rodrigo Domingos De Oliveira.
Both evenings comprised of competitions in the categories of National costumes, swimsuit competition, evening gown competition and for the final five for each evening, the interview round.
As the Asian and Latin communities continue to grow phenomenally in the US, these pageants celebrate and display the beautiful traditions, the beautiful women and rich cultures of these communities.

Armed with stellar business ethics and a determination to win, she started Virgelia Productions, Inc. in 2003. Balancing a full time business and a demanding hotel career was Virgelia’s road for 8 years, up until 2010, when she finally decided to give time and focus on Virgelia Productions.
